Completed was a detailed seismic assessment for the building located at 3 Paru Paru Road, Nelson. The former Nelson fire station building was originally built in 1934, from nominally reinforced concrete shear walls. The detailed seismic assessment was carried out in accordance with the method set out in the widely accepted international guidelines and accepted industry standards. Methods used included a Linear Static Analysis as well as a Response Spectra Analysis using a Finite Element model of the structure.

Another Iconic building at prime location was being rented out by one of the largest fashion garments retailer, Hallenstiens. Solid Ground was selected by the business to retrofit and at the same time to seismically strength the building.
