Seismic Solution was commissioned by Mapei New Zealand to create a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet (i.e. calculator) to facilitate engineering analysis of the in-plane and out-of-plane URM walls strengthened using Mapei polymer fiber grid reinforced matrix systems. The formula sheets were provided with design examples. The documentation produced was based on the assessment guidelines published by NZSEE in July 2017 and ACI 549.
The calculator was reviewed by independent engineering consultants and is being used widely by structural engineers all over New Zealand.
